The half-moon stone for the Big Green Egg XXL barbecue, made from Big Green Egg ceramic, is highly versatile. It can be used as an intermediate cooking surface together with the Conveggtor when you want to cook using both direct and indirect methods simultaneously, or it can be used as a full heat shield by placing two side by side
.Designed as an 'anti-burn stone', when two half plates are paired the cooking area is expanded, making it ideal for cooking large volumes at low temperatures, such as for chicken wings. Additionally, even when using a single half plate, you get half the cooking zone where food is less likely to burn.
