The BASIC Ag Filter acts like a triple action filter system:

- mechanical filtration action and chemical adsorption action performed by the Carbon Block with a filtration degree of 0.5 micron. Both guarantee the reduction of chlorine and microparticles in suspension, thus helping to significantly improve the taste and smell of the treated water

- bacteriostatic action (Ag principle), i.e. the silver salts with which the Carbon Block is impregnated. It performs an important bacteriostatic action, preventing bacteria from proliferating inside the filter
