P64B is a water repellent impregnator for untreated porous stone floors, which penetrates the surface porosities, coating them with a monomolecular protective film that repels water and humidity, thus providing a treatment adapted to the above needs. P64B has the property of penetrating the stone material and of chemically bonding, permanently, to the silicon present in the microcrystalline structure of the stone. The lattice that derives from this chemical reaction provides the following advantages:
- It blocks the soluble salts dissolved in the water in depth, preventing the escape of white efflorescence, prevents the penetration of water and rain from outside
- It causes rainwater to slip away, avoiding stagnation on the surface and eliminating the danger of the formation of algae and moss, which makes the floor extremely slippery and unsightly in appearance, ensures the breathability of the stone floor, allowing to the humidity present in the background to rise in the form of vapor and thus avoiding the development of interstitial pressures that could cause cracks, ruptures and detachments from the background. P64B gives the treated surfaces the characteristic “pearlant effect”, an index of high water repellency: that is, by pouring water on the floor, it is grouped into many pearl-like droplets, which can be pushed away or removed with absorbent material without leaving a trace.
P64B leaves the aesthetic appearance of the surface absolutely unchanged, which, although treated, maintains its raw appearance.
